Collaboration is key to achieving social transformation. We are proud to be joined in this endeavor by our partners.
Association of Ethiopian Broadcasters (AEB) is an important stakeholder of private media houses (TV and radio stations) with nationwide reach. AEB is orienting itself to adapt to the changing political realities in Ethiopia, realising the need for professionalisation and capacity building.
We are also proud to partner with the following Ethiopian Universities:
Free Press Unlimited (FPU) has worked with Jimma University since 2016 to support curriculum development at the School of Journalism and Communications and to capacitate campus community radio stations.
International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) has an extensive network of alumni throughout Africa. Their alumni have graduated in international law, governance, development and human rights. Graduates are often employed as government officials, policy advisors, diplomats and university administrators in developing countries. Against this background the ISS maintains a longstanding relationship with senior researchers at Bahir Dar University who have obtained their PhD degree from the ISS.
Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) has been profoundly involved in capacity building projects in the higher education sector in Ethiopia over the last 14 years.
It has trained numerous academic staff and university leaders at various levels in management and leadership skills, curriculum development, ICT policy development, modularisation, research skills and the development of a national qualifications framework, amongst others, with the Ministry of (Science and Higher) Education, the (Higher) Education Strategy Centre, Addis Ababa University, Bahir Dar University and Mekelle University and many others.
